Northern Ireland Poker Championship

09-02-2007 5:50pm#1About time Northern Ireland put up its 1st challenge since the closing of The Cavendish Club.
the JPC Poker Club (www.jpcpoker.com) in Magherafelt is currently being refurbished / expanded so that it can seat upto about 220 comfortably, which is very large for NI.
Anyway the Northern Ireland Championships are coming up over St. Paddy's Weekend.
...which features a £100,000 Guaranteed Main Event (£1,000 + £100) even though I reckon it'll £150k+ ...as a few of the UK circuit pro's have registered for the event already, due to it's European Ranking status.
So it'll be good to meet some of the Boarders in the flesh (once I qualify of course, if not i'll still fork up the grand somehow
)
Paddy Power start running qualifiers for it next week, as well as GJP and Blonde Poker, whilst Betfair have been running them for the past fortnight.
Anyway is anybody from here making the travel up north come March?0
