(already posted else, where mods please remove if you see fit)

    Hi All,

A friend and myslef are planning a 3/4 month charity trip in June of this year and are currently playing around with ideas. We are very keen climbers and have though about climbing the "top 20" mountains in Europe. Having done a lot of climbing last year (Elbrus in Russia, Mongolia and Everest BC in Tibet) we feel we are up for the challenge.

What I am looking for is a list of these mountains. Does anyone know where I would get a list of all mountains in Europe and there hights?

    Thank you in advance.

    Darragh.

It would depend on the which route. The North Ridge and North East Ridge and Kangshung Face route, would have their base camps in Tibet. South Col, North West Face and West Ridge base camps would be in Nepal.

    4061m

Italian cartographers say Monte Bianco is the highest mountain in Italy. French cartographers say it isn't.

    Back again.

Mont Grand Paradiso is the highest mountain within Italy. All the other summits are on the French/Swiss border.

Phew, I climbed one right next to it last June. So I hoped that I hadn't gone a bit mad.
