    Hi

    I was just browsing through Komplett and wandering into the S939 chips. Noticed there is a lot of the optys there. Currently I have an X2 4400+. Whats the main difference between the Optys and the Athlon X2s.

    I know one of the main things is the HyperTransport *3 in the Opertons but is that it

    Definitely not worth replacing your X2 4400 with of which the equivalent is the Opteron 180.

    The Opteron basically comes with more Hypertransport lanes enabled which is beneficial in environments where you have a lot going on like running a web server & such, not really beneficial to home users.
