Impulse buy of a lifetime!

    Oh my god, just had a flick around ebay for a 350d and a nice lens, small focal length lens.. Couldn't find anything majorly interesting, bar one..

    Decided to have a look at the 400d's and see what I can't afford. Click ok, next screen loads, have a look at the items just about to sell, Canon 400d <1 minute to sell, click it, see 600-ish euro, click sign in, my details pop up (already saved) click login, fly through the bidding buttons, confirm £405 max bid, chew nails for another 17 seconds and I'm confirmed to be the winner of the auction! :D WOOHOO!!

    It's a brand new 400d with an 18-55mm kit lens. No memory card, but I wanted a better deal than a 'free' memory card, will get one while waiting on postage.. Can't beleive that's actually happened! Fingers crossed all goes well! :D

    How much was postage? I think we were selling it for 700 alone and 700 with a load of accessories.

    Fenster: Postage was around 70, paid 669 in total, happy enough with that, got it over and done with, now it's on the way to me!

    Cheers for the good wish comments, I hope everything goes alright, never thought I would actually be able to afford one! :D

    this ebay store has the same camera (Canon 400D) with 18-55mm lens for sale at a buy it now price + delivery which works out at about €680 if anyone is lookng for a similar deal...

    fair play Wez. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and let the credit card take the hit. Hope you're aware now that this is only the first of many purchases? It's like drugs, you always need more :eek:

    You probably got a CF card by now, but if not then seven day shop is worth a look. I bought a 4GB CF for my Canon for around €33 all in. Arrived in about 4 days. Plenty fast enough, 999 shots on one card!!

    Dayum, just slapped out 89 for a 4 gig from shop4memory.com last friday week..

    I just wanted it asap to get playing with my new toy! Happy enough with what I spent over all, got a nice and fast card, and considering a 2 gig in argos is 100, I'm happy enough! Cheers for the info tho!

    You probably got a better card anyways, so wouldn't worry about it. My 4GB is fast enough for me, but I reckon side by side your 120x was likely a better buy. If my cheapo blows up I'll let you know
