    Howdy all,
Well after a long awl while I'm going to upgrading tonight :). I'm thinking
of buying from these, & was wondering if anybody's had any problems with
this company and/or had to pay duty. I'm going to be forking over a good
14/1600 and duty on top of that isn't too appealing.

All comments appreciated as usual :)

I think Sebzy used them before and was happy enough. I don't think he got caught for duty & vat but then it is down to luck as Customs do know about the Hong Kong suppliers and low values. There is still a chance you will get away without paying taxes if it's marked as a gift or low value.

I have use Kea photo (Hong Kong) on a few occasions and never paid any tax but it is like anything, there is a risk attached to it !!

Used HK eBayer exclusively for the past 18 months ish (or more, I'm knackered, can't remember ). Never paid tax or duty yet. Try URGalaxy or Kea as well and see if they can beat your lads on price/warranties etc.
Best of luck and get posting!

Bought a lens from them...50mm I think, was sent by airmail - no problems

Bought a Nikon SB 800 flash from them, this was sent by FedEx and even though they seemed to -ahem- make a mistake with the value I was charged duty etc.

So I think in the end I only saved about 60/70 quid on Irish prices which isn't great if you consider that(in the case of Nikon anyway) the warranty is useless on this side of the world,so I might as well sling it in the bin if it went faulty.

I bought a battery for a D80 from them...not much at risk I know but they were fast to deliver and no problems.
