I have been watching this on Full Tilt and it is just crazy. Roland de wolfe(103k), serb2127(46k) and grimstarr(123k) just keep going all in every single hand. What is the point in this? Are they just playing for fun or what are they at. I have seen about 15 hands now and every one was all in preflop. These guys are just crazy.
Can they really have that much money where they can afford to put $4k each into the pot every single hand? They must be doing it for fun or something as I guess on average no one is going to lose that much if they keep playing unless you are on a weird streak of luck

    One pretty typical hand:
Dealer: serb2127 posts the small blind of $50
Grimstarr: thought that q won it for u
Dealer: Roland de Wolfe posts the big blind of $100
    Dealer: Grimstarr raises to $200
DefconTen (Observer): i looooooooooooove this game
    Roland de Wolfe: 22 again
    Dealer: serb2127 raises to $700
    Roland de Wolfe: wtf
Dealer: Roland de Wolfe raises to $2,300
Dealer: Grimstarr raises to $4,000, and is capped
    serb2127: 4 one time
ald1das77 (Observer): yea vegas, new mexico lmao
Dealer: serb2127 calls $3,300, and is capped
Dealer: Roland de Wolfe calls $1,700, and is capped
Dealer: Grimstarr shows [Qc 5s 3c Kh]
    Dealer: serb2127 shows [9c Js 4s 4h]
Dealer: Roland de Wolfe shows [2h 2d 7c Jh]
KEEGOLD (Observer): IF 2 COME U SHOOT THE 10 LOL
    Dealer: The flop is
    Dealer: The turn is [7d]
    Dealer: The river is [Tc]
Dealer: Grimstarr shows two pair, Tens and Fives
Dealer: serb2127 shows two pair, Tens and Fours
Dealer: Roland de Wolfe shows two pair, Tens and Sevens
Dealer: Roland de Wolfe wins the pot ($11,999) with two pair,
    Tens and Sevens
702poker (Observer): u getting pwned grim
    mase_gotsem (Observer): lmao
    Grimstarr: sikk

    Ouch!!
This may seem like a stupid question but can they really be playing for that money blind? Do they have any kind of agreement with each other I wonder?
In fairness who can afford to lose that sort of money?

Biggest luckbox out there. Made his whole bankroll from hitting and running in blind Omaha games. Built it up from .05/.10 games on Tribeca.

It's rumoured he has a pattern mapper for Full Tilt.

I heard that if you say his name 5 times while at a poker table, he appears in the empty seat, takes all your money and leaves....never tried it with The Jolly Giant incase he ends up there too!

you have to wonder about a lot of these guys, working so hard at their poker game then ****ing it away doing crap like this, prop bets or playing golf for 20k a hole.

no this is not right - you are a fool if you are willing to gamble half your bankroll in this game. sure if you want a bit of craic blow off a small percentage - but any rational mind should be able to pull the plug.

i bet roland doesnt feel too stupid with an extra 100K or so in the account this mornign, im with roundtower on this one.

Also Halibut2 is a first cousin of Kaizer Soze, hasnt been seen at a live game since the release of the film "the Usual Suspects" lurks mainly online now...

That makes no sense, your basically still a fool if you are in this same situation and win. You are just lucky that you have made money and unlucky if you blow your whole bankroll but stupid to play this either way imo. Im sure as you know over a long period of time you should only be losing money in rake as you are never going to win money on this in the long term.
The only long term winner here is Full Tilt who are making rake, all be it very small but still a consistent winner. It goes against the whole point of playing poker professionaly imo.

meh, if you had oodles of cash and the means to make more easily why not do this for kicks, it's gonna be ev neutral in the long run.

That makes no sense, your basically still a fool if you are in this same situation and win.
digiman up above you wonder whether the players had "a nice even split on the donk". How is this not suggesting that the guy who lost is the donk and the other guys were just beneficiaries of his idiocy?

You're not losing any more money here than playing blind omaha for $5 a go, the variance is just higher.

i bet roland doesnt feel too stupid with an extra 100K or so in the account this mornign, im with roundtower on this one....

Im sure Roland has a far more liquid role than Grimstar and was not putting as large a % of it at stake. What if somebody sufficiently rolled for 1/2 put half of it in play at 10/20? They are a fool for exposing their bankroll surely? But to sit and knowlingly let it dwindle without any edge until you blow 50% of it then you are easily classifiable in the "fool" category.

Also Halibut2 is a first cousin of Kaizer Soze, hasnt been seen at a live game since the release of the film "the Usual Suspects" lurks mainly online now...

Told you guys already - he is The Stig.

I'm not a 100% sure what you mean here roundtower and you have put my sentence into a slightly different context. What i actually meant was that did Wolfe take most of his money? Or was its just like an average thing and the different people who sat in took some of his money and then when they felt they had enough just left which means that he doesnt have the opportunity to win it back again if you know what I mean?

for the most part it was the same 3/4 doing it for 2/3 hours.

no this is not right - you are a fool if you are willing to gamble half your bankroll in this game. sure if you want a bit of craic blow off a small percentage - but any rational mind should be able to pull the plug.
he didn't gambool half his roll though, he lost half of what he has online through doing flips and running bad.

i'd imagine he has lots more offline, it may even only be half his ft roll he lost.

just pointing out he's not busto cause of blind omaha! just a little silly..

my understanding from his post on another forum was that he had lost half his roll. maybe i have misread it.

why? Roland as I understand it plays live tourneys, Grimmstarr plays some of the biggest cash games on the internet. Anyway it's not as if he put half his bankroll on the line at any time, he only ever had 4k at risk and you have to take each decision on its own merits.

Anyway I'm not saying coinflipping for 4k is a good idea, but it's a lot better than most forms of gambling.

maybe your right, he said half his roll/and half his online roll, it was he him looking to swap ps for ft money that opened up the possibility it was just his ft roll.

anyway big deal...I don't think anyone's gonna loose sleep over that degenerate!

ronald de wolfe took a heft chunk, can't remember who else was on the table.

Blind all-in flips probably represent Roly's most +ve EV game. Word on the street is he lost $1.2 million online in 2006!

    not quite that simple.

he can be a bit of a knob but there is undoubted talent there.
