Photo Storage Boxes

    Hi,

I have a good few photographs, printed in standard 4x6 and some 5x7, that I don't want to put into photograph albums. Nonetheless, I would like to keep them a little more organized than they are now (lying around in packets).

Does anyone know if there is anywhere in Dublin (or online) where I can buy boxes for holding photographs. They are like shoe boxes, except they are 4x6 inches on one side, so the photographs fit neatly. I don't need archival quality boxes, just something the right size.

I thought that I saw them somewhere, but cannot remember where. I might have even imagined them, but sure as hell haven't been able to find them recently. Any pointers much appreciated!

do a google or ebay search for "Bags Unlimited". I got some archival sleeves off him a while back and he seems to have a good range of storage and archiving stuff at fairly keen prices.

Although it might not be exactly what you're looking for, I store packets of photos in Xerox printer-paper boxes, the type that hold 4 or 5 blocks of paper. I find the packets fit in just right and you can put a sheet of cardboard on top of the first layer when full and it'll then take another layer. I have several of them at home and they stack pretty good too.

Could be a temporary solution until you find what you're looking for.

    B.
