Possible to grind profit in $3 sng?

I'm currently concentrating on $3 10-man SNGs on Stars. At the moment I'm doing OK, getting placed 60% of the time (I'm keeping track). But I'm wondering if you guys thinks it's possible to go on making this kind of profit? With the poor standard of play in these tournaments and the crazy nature of some of the play, is it possible? At what level will my solid tight-aggressive play prove profitable?

I only have a bankroll of $50, so I find $3 is even a little steep for me.

You'd be surprised how high an ITM figure can be maintained long term in these.
Looking back at my figures from last year I played 450 $3 9seaters when either drunk or when winding down after a session at a higher level.
    ITM 54% and ROI 41.5%.

60% over how many? If you had played even 70 of them you would have more than $50 to play with, and many people do that in a day. I think 60% ITM is unrealistic long term even in the $3, but you can probably get 50% or so.

I've only started doing this today. My ratio has actually fallen to 44% (placed 4 time outs of 9) due to 2 knockouts on the bubble. I think I will continue to play these 3 dollar sit and goes and see where I can go from here. Is there anyother websites I should try? I see that Paddypower offer $1 sit and goes.

:) bit of a small sample size to be quoting stats on. gl with playing them, but it's gonna be a long while before you get an accurate idea of your winrate.

yeah based on your results I expect you to earn somewhere between -$1.50 and +$1.25 per SNG with 95% confidence.

    LOL very funny. :)

I'm not asking if it is possible for me. I'm asking is it realistically possible to crack those games, or does the poor standard of play make it very difficult.

No it is almost impossible to beat games with poor standards of play. I would imagine even Phil Ivey would find it hard to beat $3 SnGs consistently.

it's easier against poor players obviously.
