    Niiiiiice.
One C&C though, these would look much much better if they were taken on a 20D, if you really want to I'll swap with you.

Thanks everyone. It's amazing how a macro can change the way you look at things.

Jeesh, I struggle to get a good pic of my kids! These pictures are really really good. It's a great talent you have. Keep up the good stuff, I have two questions for you please,

    1. What is the camera?
    2. Did it take long to get to grips with it?

    Cheerio

Thanks Howard. The camera is a 5D. I only have it a few weeks but I had a 10D for a few years and it basically operates the same. I find the viewfinder a lot brighter, which gives me a lot more confidence when focusing. The lens has a fair bit to do with it too. I used a Canon 100 2.8 Macro which is really sharp. I'm still only getting used to the lens and haven't done much macro stuff. I just took the camera with me today for the craic but the macro definitely got me looking at stuff differently.

I still have a long way to go but sure that's the fun of it all. It gives a great thrill when you come home with something half decent.

Mike, just go to my Flickr to see them properly. To see them properly here would mean I have to break the rules. Maybe you have sigs turned off? If so you can click here to see them.

Danny they are awesome. Not surprised you're delighted!

I have fallen in love with my macro. I have it stuck to my face most of the time. Oh to have a decent camera, and talent, and experience.. :)

The colours are beautiful. I love them all.

I really like how they work as a set - you get a sense of the damp air and winter sun... but also - holy crap, they are sharp!

Good to see you enjoying a new perspective, too :) Even when you're stuck with no fantastic vistas in front of you, there's usually a macro shot (or ten) to be had, right at your feet!!!
