French TV Channels on SKY

    Apart from Tv5Monde, are there any other french tv channels on sky that tou can add via the 'Other Channels' service? Thanks....

    no, they are on a different satellite , Hotbird usually , there is the French news channel that shows up beside al jazeera in the news group of channels but its en anglais ( or is that tv5 monde)

    France 2, France 3, TV5 ARTE (French and German) TV8 Mount Blanc and News 24 (French and English versions) and (I think) RTBF are abvailable FTA on various satellites other than Astra 2 (which only carrys English France 24 FTA)

    ARTE, France 2, France 3, France 4 and France 5 are on Atlantic Bird 3 (5W)
    TV5 ARTE, News 24, RTBF and Canal+ are on 19.2E (Astra 1)

    The EuroNews channel at 28 degrees East has audio in various European languages including French. On my FTA box you can easily select your preferred language.

    but he has a sky box which will not allow him to select different euronews languages like you can with an fta box

    Yes it does. It's in the services section if I remember correctly. I have it set to French. Euronews is the only channel it seems to work on though.
