I headed down to the Zoo yesterday to try out my new camera. The light was fantastic and most of the animals were obliging in posing for the camera. Here are a few.

I really like the last two. The snow leopard's teeth look great.

    Seb, I used a 70-200 f2.8 with a 1.4 converter on all shots.

Excellent shots Darren. I might break my promise and pay the zoo a visit. It seems the animals have a bit more room than they had a few years ago.

Sigma 70-200 on a Nikon body.

    Number 3 is super.

It could have been taken on the plains of Africa.
    Great shot!

Looks like the animals were particularly obliging for you ;) Cracking light, as you say. Well handled, too - usually the contrast would kill all the highlights and give you serious underexposure too...

    Was it busy up there?

I was there around 10am so it was quiet enough but when I was leaving around 12 it was getting very busy.
