ok so im building this bass(well restoring) and im wiring to this diagram http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/schematics/p-j_bass.html
thing is the white and black wire fell off the pickup(now theres still a point to resolder them)how do i know which wire goes to which point

i really dunno anyone care to help?

also where would be the cheapest place to get bass machine heads and a saddle/nut the guy in the music shopp said its a rare size but i doubt it since its an aria stb series which is still in poduction unless they changed the nut size

i also need to get another input which i should be able to get in town but it would be desirable to be able to get it with the machine heads and nut all in one order

    one last thing
the pickup covers/cases are cracked fairly badly, where would i get new ones?

    thanks
    sean

There are dozens of online shops that sell those things, just hit google.

It doesn't matter which wire is which on the pickup, as long as the two pickups are consistant (so they're in phase). I'd look at where the wires come from on the other pickup and follow the same convention. If it's not obvious then you can just try it both ways. When they're in phase the sound with both pickups will be much fatter and fuller.

I used these guys for some parts a few years ago
    http://www.guitarpartsusa.com
They're definitely cheap and I found them very helpful.

Here is their "credo" - they're my kinda guys :D -
"If you're looking for high dollar, triple blue chrome plated, composite alloy, fancy package, mega bucks guitar parts endorsed by the latest superstar

    What we got is
high quality import stuff. Probably the same thing that came on your guitar. We carefully place each guitar part in a Zip Lok bag and hand write the part number on it with a black Sharpie pen. AND!!! Our major endorser is Kinky Winks and the Whuz Nuts. HOW BOUT THAT???? THANKS FOR VISITING!"

These guys are good too: www.axesrus.com Based in UK. Not so cheap since they stopped their free shipping to Ireland.
