    telecasters!
use a fender valve amp thats getting into power amp distortion (caution requires big volume!)pretty sure kele uses a boss sd-1 overdrive or simular for extra drive
a boss delay or two,and a tremolo should get you most of the way there!

More like Radiohead's guitar sound which Bloc Party cloned.
    Wasn't the only thing either.
Check out pictures of their lead guitarist playing live, and then look at pics of Johnny Greenwood.

It's shameful, and it epitomises the lack of originality and this tired "retro" feel of so much popular indy music of the last 4 to 5 years.

Greenwood uses a Telecaster through both a solid state Fender amp and through a Vox AC30.

    Ooh bitter :p

Yeah use a Tele and loads of effects, that'll do it. Alternatively cut off Kele's hands!

    Heh. :p
Nah, I just don't dig the retro thing.
Why copy someone else instead of trying to create something original?
No shame in being influenced by someone, but I don't see any individuality in the retro thing. All been done before tbh...

    hi all

yer man is clearly obsessed with greenwood!
i p*ssed myself the first time i saw him

maybe he will start sporting the tendonitis
strapping jonny had to wear years ago!!

i dont think its so wrong to inquire about someones sound
we have all been influenced by guitarists and their sound
    and style at some stage!

PS how do i get a j mascis sound without a vintage jazzmaster!? ;)

    ciao
