    hi folks,
hoping someone can help me here,
i have been loading my music collection onto my media center and its doing my head in,
    i have media player 11,
i have loaded on about 150 or so albums in mp3 format and my music and media player refuse to see them,
i can only get around 70 or so to show up,
i have them stored in my documents in the my music folder,
would this be the cause or am i missing something,
    any help greatly appreciated guys,
    thanks a million in advance

Try draging and dropping the folders into WMP11

Under normal circumstances, the MCE component in XP will always mirror what 's in your WMP music library. So, if WMP 11 can "see" and play the files, then MCE will as well.

The first step is to load the music into WMP, not MCE. When you're importing, make sure you check the option that says "Import tracks that were previously deleted". If WMP 11 still does not list a lot of your albums, are you sure they are not been tagged as "Unknown"? This would happen if the metadata for Album, Artists, etc was screwed up and can be a royal pain to fix. If that's the case, look into using MediaMonkey to clean up your library, tag it correctly (it's a lot easier to work with tons of files than WMP is) and then import the fixed library back into WMP and then check MCE.
