    Hey folks,

I'm thinking of giving the oul boxing a try. I've never trained in a striking martial art, but I've done a few months of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (grabbling).

I'm 19, and taking a year out of college at the moment (planning on joining the club in college when I go back, but kinda eager to start soon-ish!). I'm quite unfit, but in the process of changing that (and hopefully the boxing would help even more).

I'd be joining the club with a view to taking part in amateur competitions whenever I'm prepared.

Anyone know of a decent club (not a kip! :D) not too far from Tallaght that would take on someone like me?

    Thanks for any info!

ps. Anyone know of regular amateur competitions/fights that I could go along to and take a look at? I've never seen a live boxing match before, and would be interested in taking a look at a few. Thanks.

    Cheers for that

Dun Laoghaire is a bit out of the way, but thanks for the offer anyway! If I wasn't relying on public transport then I'd pop down, but it's too impractical without a car.

Anybody know anything about this club?

    ST. JOSEPHS A.B.C.
    Mr George Earl
    C/o 3 Woodtown Cottages,
    Killakee Road
    Rathfarnham
    Dublin 16
    4939983

    Is it any good? Thanks

    No Probs.

Yeah St.Josephs would be a good club..........you should give them a ring and pop down and see what you think.

    Best of luck.
