I cant see any problem here whatsoever

OP you seem to have a really responsible attitude towards the whole thing so go for it. There is no legal issue as long as you don't have sex with her before her 17th birthday

    Good luck

    it doesnt matter really

people have been a bit OTT about your post

2 1/2 year isnt really that much IMO

you're both happy, doing nothing terribly illegal, happy days

OP, when you are in Scotland, you are governed by the laws of Scotland; when in Ireland, by the laws of Ireland.

I am not a lawyer, and wouldn't claim to know much about the law, but I can't imagine that any sane cop is going to harass you for kissing her, if you're stopping there, especially if her parents are OK with the two of you being in a relationship.

Two and a half years may seem like a lot now, but in a year or two it will be meaningless ... if in fact the two of you do last. If she's that "awesome" ... :)

However, given her age she is quite vulnerable ... and to be honest, you sound vulnerable enough yourself (no offence intended). You both, and especially you as the older, need to be very careful not to end up hurting yourselves or each other.
