I've never really took cash games online serious but have decided to give it a go at making some real money so i've just got Poker Tracker in.

I'v used it previously as a demo version so i have 1000 hands loaded into it with a lot of donkey play included. i want to start from scratch so can i erase all the info currently stored and begin with a clean database?

actually I also have a PT question.

How many hands is a reasonable sample size?

You could just move/delete all the existing HH files on your computer from there current directory to a backup directory or trash them totally.
Once removed from the directory it wiil be starting from scratch.

Cheers lads. Just one other question. I regularly play MTTs and STTs while playing casg games. If i import the HH from a session like this, does PT just pick out the cash games hands or do i have to exclusively play cash games for PT to function efficeintly?

There is a filter on PT which allows you to select either or, so you can get your STT & MTT or cash game stats.

Tony cash games are stored separately. They appear as "Ring game player statistics" in the file menu. I'm not sure if PT can import Tribeca MTTs and STTs yet.

BCB a reasonable sample size is probably 10k hands. A more telling/accurate sample size would probably be between 30 and 50k hands but 10k can be a good indicator.
