New single “Be Good or Be Gone”
    Irish tour confirmed for April
    Meteor Awards Nomination
    Choice Music Prize Shortlist

Fionn Regan has just confirmed an extensive tour of Ireland for the month of April. The dates include a night at Whelans and Crawdaddy as well as shows in Dundalk, Limerick, Cork, Galway, Castlebar and Letterkenny.

Fionn’s new single “Be Good or Be Gone” will be released in March. The video for this song was directed by Si and Ad from Academy Films.
They came up with the concept of completely re-recording the track LIVE in lots of different locations, thus capturing all the unique sounds and atmospheres of these places. The real genius is that these segments were then welded seamlessly together to form the complete song. In the video Fionn is variously seen performing in a lift, a church, a petshop, a market, on a farm, in a woodland glade, on the beach… and many more weird and wonderful locations.

Fionn Regan whose debut album The End of History has been eliciting across the board praise throughout Europe has been shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize – Irish Album of the Year as well as being nominated in 2 categories for the Meteor Ireland Awards (Best Irish Male / Best Irish New Act). Both take place in February 2007.

The End Of History was released in October 2006 in Ireland on the Heffa label and in the UK on the Bella Union label.

Fionn starts 2007 as he finished 2006 with a line of live shows stretching out in front of him (including a full complement of dates in Australia).

Fionn’s 5-track “Hotel Room EP” caused a mighty stir amongst punters and pundits on its release in 2004 and The End Of History is the perfect successor displaying an artistic vision that is distinctly his own. 12 songs of honesty and simplicity; an album that is at all turns heart-warming, affecting and beguiling.

Already proving a hit amongst many of the key pundits in the UK, the media have so far had this to say about The End Of History:

“A début that oozes rare confidence, startling maturity and originality.” Mojo ****

“A wonderful album.” Sunday Times ****

“A slow-burning beauty of a début album.” Independent On Sunday ****

“A joy to behold.” Drowned In Sound ********

“Dublin’s most luminescent songwriter.” Word Magazine
