My brother was over to see me a couple of days ago from home, now he knows his nutrition and supplements inside out. He was really surprised to see that the breakfast bar in the hotel had free blueberries since they're so expensive in Ireland. Anyhow he proceeded to tell me how they're one of the very best fruits to eat.

Especially for improving cognitive function, help alleviate the damage caused by smoking due to lipid hydroperoxides, inhibiting growth of certain cancer cells (colon and prostrate).

Was interesting since I never would have thought of them as being so effective.

Nah - they do have mixed frozen berries but not blueberries specifically. No matter anyhow, berries are all good.

My Bro who lives in Dublin gets Blueberry Tabs from lef.org, when they're off season. It's funny, he's going down there this weekend to their HQ in Fort Lauderdale to stock up on his years supply of supplements before flying home (still works out cheaper than ordering online!) Two suitcases of supplements!! If he's stopped by customs he's f%@ked.

Tesco are rip off merchants when it comes to frozen fruits especially Blueberries. They charge € 29.52 per kilo for these bad boys, you can get them in Festa foods in Bray for € 11.00 per kg!!! They come in a 2.5kg bag for €27.50. When you do the numbers you can see we're being ripped off. By the way festa foods also do frozen strawberries(€9.50) and mixed berries(€12.50) in 2.5kg bags. I've have been using them for a while now and they're spot on!

Said I'd try some of these when I saw them in Dunnes the last day. Never realised how tasty they were! Heartily recommend throwing them into some natural yoghurt for a snack so good it tastes like it can't possibly be healthy!

I love blueberries in my porridge in the morning but the only place i can find them near me is my local Marks and Spencer and they're horribly expensive there - a fiver for a tiny punnet.

The new 'Innocent Superfood Smoothie' with blueberries in is particularly nice and also contains acai berries which supposedly have the highest antioxidant content of any fruit.
