    Lovely shot Conor. I agree that the branch is distracting. Maybe worth trying a vertical crop.

    Yeah,i think if I print it I'll have a go at cloning it out.Tried different crops, but this was about the best i could do.

    It was taken with the canon 70-200 2.8 IS. I was sitting with a couple of lads who were fishing on the bank of a lake in cavan.I had only arrived after being at another lake and the boys informed me that a hawk had been sitting in the tree close to us for a half an hour, and flew off as my car arrived ! Anyway,one of them threw a handful of maggots onto the bank and the robins came down.....lots of them.This shot was taken as he perched on a bramble to get ready to fly down for the maggots,he was only about 2 yards away from me and I was in plain sight.

    Oh that's lovely! I love the way the hues of the bird are continued in the background and foliage (eh.. thats called camouflage Sinead..) It looks really well though. Lovely light.
