This was recorded at the french Paradox wine bar in Ballsbride in 2005. Just hearing it now as Gordon had it archived. Not the best sound quality. The whole track is improvised, based aroung meeting of the spirits idea. Gordon was certainly playing very nicely that night. He said give me something slow and spanishy in Em so i did and we got this....
    tell us what you think

    cheers

    Holey Cow Batman.
I can hear the JMcL connection.
That was pretty fancy for a wine bar.

He played the lead/guitar? It was very clear; every note picked at very high speed? That takes some shedding. It was pretty melodic/atmospheric at same time. Do you or he play in Dublin now?

yeah usually we'd swap solos but i just let go at it and the spanish thing is his teritory . We hit a few nice changes together so I was happy to hear what he could come up with. I'll post one of our other pieces later up with both of us soloing....
He went back to england last year, (we're doing a few gigs later in the year in the 4seasons though) pity, but I do a lot of jazz gigs with other guys, mainly different trios, duos. I'll post up any public ones soon.

Kewl! Post the second piece and any gigs you are doing. Would be nice to hear someone from this board in the flesh. I am learning jazz guitar and am around good beginner/bad intermediate stage so do not expect any clips of me any time soon :-).
