    Final Cut Pro would be the best.

    But if you are just starting out iMovie is very good for beginners and it should be already on your Mac.

    Depends on your circumstances. The options are iMovie for beginnners, Final Cut Express for more experienced users, and Final Cut Pro or Avid Xpress Pro for professionals. Edit suites also have a lot of additional hardware such as monitors, capture devices, and external storage. What do you plan to use it for?
