Autocall, autofold or timebank?

Recently encountered the following two situations and I would love to know if there is a general concensus about them. I'll post what I did and how that worked out tomorrow, though its opinions I am looking for. Each of these situations were "timebank" situations for me (an amateur poker player.)

Situation 1: On-line $10+1 MTT with 5 minute blinds, 658 players started, 14 remaining. 8th in chips but the blinds are HUGE so any raise is an all-in basically.
UTG, low stacked, goes all-in and so does UTG+1, who is 2nd in chips. Folded around to me. I have AK off-suit.
If I fold I'm guaranteed to be on the final table, since people are all-in on the BB and I have time (button now). But my stack will be low. If I call and win I will be ~2nd in chips on the final table.

Situation 2: Live €25 8-man freeze-out. One player gone and the rest are all about average stacked, last hand before the break. Almost a family pot, 6 players in and unraised. I have KJ suited in MP, villain on the button is a total fish shortstacked but plays an excellent chip-leader.
    Flop T 2 K rainbow.
All check, me too as I feel that I have the best hand but all will fold if I bet. Villain bets 1/3 pot and all fold but me.
Turn A, completing the rainbow. I am certain I have him and he'll bet so I check. He bets the same amount and I call (probably should have raised but alas.)
River I check blind as I know villain very well. He will fold to a bet but bet on a check. Its a J, giving me two pair but making a one-card-straight. He goes all-in.

You need to include stack sizes, especially for hand 2.

Hand 2 is a bit of a mess anyway, I think. What's wrong with picking up the pot on the flop? There's a lot of money there, and your hand is good but not exactly invincible. And you keep saying that you think you're ahead, but what do you think he's betting with? And what's his opinion of you? Your line seems to be one of inducing bluffs, but does he push that river with a hand that middle 2p beats? The hand is hard to analyse as you two obviously know each other, so the dynamics between you have a big bearing on your decision. So if you think you're beat, fold; if you think you're ahead then call!

hand 1 is more than likely a call but stack sizes relative to the blinds is needed. Like how low is this UTG low stack?

Situation 1: UTG half the stack I have, and I'm 8th/15. UTG+1 has about our stacks combined. UTG would be all-in on the BB if he waited 1 more hand.

Situation 2: Villain 325 me 340, blinds 6/12, flop bet 25, turn bet 25, river bet 263 all-in and I have 278 at the river.

i think situation 1 is hard to call. given that the utg+1 went all in and did not just call he most likely has a monster. he is 2nd in chips so only needed to call the short stack trying to double up, but went all in himself so i would be wary of calling unless i really needed to double up myself.

situation 2 given that you were equal enough in chips there was no need to slow play the kings for more chips and when you didnt make a move when the ace came on the turn he probably had you on a draw or jacks, queens. if you know the guy does try and bluff hands like that when he gets checked to 3 times then call but otherwise chances are you got stung for not moving on the flop.

I know you said that the blinds were huge but this sounds like an utter crapshoot. If UTG 'would be all-in on the BB if he waited 1 more hand' then I take it that he has 1BB left. That would give you 2BB and UTG+1 who is 2nd chipleader has 3BB which soulds mad. Give this I think you would have to push IMO. The crapshoot is only going to get busier so you might as well get it in with a qulaity hand since you have one. At worst I would imagine it is a race which given the circumstances wouldn't be too bad.

Situation 1: I judged the same after some thought and called. UTG had ubercrap as expected. UTG+1 had KK and they held up.

Situation 2: I know I had him on the turn, we play a lot together. The only hand I could see him have that would beat me was Q2 suited. I called and he showed T7.
