Primary camera shuts down on Hubble telescope

    It shut down and they can only marginally restore it. We might be able to restore 1/3 of its effectiveness

    Pitty alright but good news ahead

    "Nasa plans to have space shuttle astronauts repair and upgrade the 16-year-old telescope on a mission next year. Leckrone says new instruments that will be installed will exceed the capabilities of the current system."

    That is not good. :( As for an upgrade, next year is a long way away.
