OK, I don't think this has done before (at least not specifically for Windows), but we should stick up those shortcut keys we find ourselves using constantly, and/or that we simply can't live without.

    I always find that I learn a whole raft of new keys when people post up theirs;

    Office Shortcuts
    Ctrl + Z: Undo
    Ctrl + Y: Redo
    Ctrl + C: Copy
    Ctrl + V: Paste
    Ctrl + X: Cut

    Windows/General Shortcuts
    Ctrl + N: New Window/Document/Email/Contact/Etc
    Ctrl + W: Close Tab/Document/Email/etc
    Ctrl + Q: Quit
    Alt + Space: Window Menu
Alt + Space, C: Close Window
Alt + Space, X: Maximise Window
    F2: Rename
    F5: Refresh
Shift + Delete: Delete Permanently (i.e. bypass recycle bin). Also works in Outlook.
    Windows Key + D: Minimise All/Maximise All
Window Key + L: Lock Computer
    Alt + Tab: Switch Window
    Ctrl + Tab: Switch Tab/Document
Shift + Tab: Tab backwords/Delete Tab (useful when filling in forms and coding in IDEs)

    Browsers
    F5: Refresh
    F6: Highlight address bar
    Ctrl + T: New Tab
/ (forward slash): Find (FF only)
Ctrl + G: Find Next (FF Only)

    I've probably forgotten loads.

    Real snazzy one:
If you want to run a DOS like app say "ipconfig" then
Windows Key+R in the run box put "cmd /k ipconfig /all" all entered without the quotation marks. and you have ipconfig up on the screen.

I have a few of these runing: Open properties of a shortcut icon, i.e. any program icon on desktop or start menu, third box down Shortcut Key. press "alt gr" and then any key you like. On my box I have "alt gr+T=opens Notepad, alt gr +O =Opera, alt gr+n=nPOP. Especially handy for Notepad.

Unfortuately it doesn't seem possible for "My Documents"

'nother giggle: open new Word doc, ( I have Word 2000) and type =rand() and press enter. Usefull if you want some sample text to experiment with, or to impress someone how fast you can type, as long as they are not watching you.

Useful tip: Control Pannel>Accessibility Options>Keyboard Tab, there check the box "Toggle Keys" and you will get an audible warning anytime you hit "Caps Lock"

For scientists and other people who use the mu (µ) symbol a lot.

    Alt + 0181 ;)

Comes in very handy writing reports and protocols, (µl, µM etc.) :)

    My fav must be Alt+F4.

For managing and finding files on my PC, I use File Manager (lifted from a Windows NT machine) and it lets me use the keyboard and/or mouse for everything as much as I want.
