not sure about this one. I took it with my new Sigma 105 Macro. I'm looking for advice really, should I be cropping more? Is the brightness in the top bit of the photo distracting? Should I have gone for a different angle? Is it sharp enough?

I used a tripod and this was as close as I could get.

    Thanks in advance.

maybe try it again, but with the camera higher up, looking down more on the flower, so the background is more uniform?

Try rotating it 90 degrees rather than cropping it?

I agree but would still slightly crop it even after the rotation to put more emphasis on the flower.

    and then mirror it?

However I feel strong urge to shut up after Sebs crop suggestion in the girl in the sea thread... :)
