DOE test without catalytic converter

    OK,
MY 1.7 Diesel van is due its DOE test, as It had a hole in the flexable joint in the exhaust I brought it into the local exhaust place to get a new flexible joint and front pipe as it was also leaking at the engine, anyway it seems that they removed and spliced the new part in after the catalytic converter, so now it has no CAT,
SO my question is will it pass the LGV DOE test without this?
Should I bring it back to him?

    Cheers
