Double Pole Switch Problem

    Folks:

I have a double pole switch with a LED that's been giving me a spot of bother. When installed first it was fine, a while ago the LED remained lit even when the switch was at the Off position.

I replaced it with a brand-spanking-new switch at the weekend, but still the LED stays on whether the switch is On or Off.

Any ideas what the problem may be?

check the supply is connected to the input side on switch first or maybe you have

As Davelerave said, you most likely have the supply and feed cables mixed up,

the load side or L2 and N2 side should be connected to whatever you are switching, the Supply side L1 and L2 should be connected to the mains supply. It still works just as well as it is BTW just that the indication is wrong and that is dangerous for anyone working on it.

Thanks folks. That's exactly what the problem was. Sorted now.
