Hughes & Kettner trouble!

Hey guys, I've got a Hughes & Kettner Edition Tube 20th anniversary combo, running a few pedals through it, including a Boss DD6 and a BF3. It's a great sounding amp, but I'm having a problem with the channel switching option. When I hit the footswitch to change from the clean to lead channels, there is quite a loud 'pop' noise. The same happens in the opposite direction, although the 'pop' isn't as loud. I've checked a few websites and most say it's to do with the change in voltage between the circuits/the charging of different capacitors when switching channels. Either way, it's becoming a pain, any advice on reducing the noise would be muchos appreciated!

Its a problem with a lot of amps. Mesa/Boogie were the first company to make two channel amps (back in the day), and they wrestled with the problem in the early mark series amps. (obviously, they solved it a long time ago, but some manufacturers still havent)

I dont know of any easy way to fix it, its inherent to the design of your amp. Muting the guitar can help with some amps.

When this was a problem with some recent fenders, they published a fix on the net. Maybe e mail Hughes and Kettner and see if they can offer you a work around.

You hardly have a link to that, do you?
