ok guys just looking for some advice / suggestions on what i should do on the river and maybe what i should have done on each different street....

    1 / 2 PLH - live

im in MP and look down @ A10C i just limp for 2, as does everyone else and its back around to BB who makes it 15 or 20 not to sure, anyways folded around to me so i just flat call and the button calls,

    i have about 400
    BB has around 700
button has little under me 340'ish

    flop comes 9 4 9 two clubs
BB checks, so i put out feeler bet and bet 30, the button folds and BB calls....

so the turn is a 7c [i have A high Flush]

BB bets 75 and i call,

    river is a blank X

    BB bets 100.......???

all suggestions welcomed..... [go easy] lol....

the range your facing he is pretty big imo, especially considering the way he's played it.

Its a watch, car keys and gold teeth in the middle job for me.

(I'm guessing that I ended up walking home, being late for work the next day, and eating complan for the next few years.....)

p.s. If you were playing in the Fitz I'd throw in my left goolie as well.

    any reads on villain?
the pot is 290 on the river and he has 100 (looks very much like a value bet), is he likely to raise with KcQc or something similar. looks also quite like 44/99/77 are possibilities too. i presume he bets the flop with 77 though. its hard to make a definite judgement without any reads.
    call river bet, without them.

I'm pretty confused as to what hand the villain has.

Did you openlimp with ATsuited in MP? If so don't do that again. Any reads on the BB. Pretty hard to tell you what to do without them. Raising is a possiblilty.

Flop bet is a bit on the small side, I would check or bet more.

Why?? I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, I'm just wondering why you did this. What was your plan for the hand after this bet.

Seems a pretty easy shove against a badly played (post flop) overpair or a weaker flush. If he has 77, 99 or 97, fair play to him. Is he the type of player who'll raise PF with these type of holdings?

His play makes no sense, apart from a weaker flush (KQc) so just take all his money and push.

Also as Cardshark says, don't open limp with A10s.

you raise or fold here Reggie. What circumstances factor in the decision.

If its folded to me in MP and I have ATs, I will always raise, don't think I would ever fold. Limping makes little sense, you play the hand weakly and can only win the pot by hitting because its harder to bluff someone out of a small pot. Raising means you can win the pot by bluffing, or win a big pot if you hit a big flop. People are also less likely to stack of with top pair in an unraised pot than they are in a raised one imo.

calling the raise is also bad because big aces are certainly part of his range, if not dominate his range, so we lose so much when we both hit an A and if we only hit the A then we rarely get paid.

Llyod, if we struggle to put A9 in his range, then you can see how bad this is.

I would go all in, if you were deeper I would just call but he only has 125 or something behind and he will be getting better than 4-1.

I don't mind a limp behind limpers here, I would probably just raise though. I would call the raise if I thought BB was bad at poker and I was good. Your flop play is fine in isolation but if this is standard for you I bet you are really predictable and easy to read.

sorry guys - im not long at the table and haven't got much of a read on this guy but within the few min's im there i double up off the villain with a house of AA's over his set so i assuming he's a bit p@ss'd,

anway he bets 100 on the river and i push for the rest of my stack [DONK], villain calls like a light.....lol [9 7o]...

now looking back on the hand im the first to admit i played like a feckin donk, i know i should have folded to the pre-flop raise until i got a better read on the villain, but in my defence... :o it was midweek @ around 8am, after a gruelling 10 hours in the SE and now in the Jackpot, my brain needed some shut eye :o

    anyway lads thanks for feedback.....

Limping with a suited ace is not as horrible as everybody is making out

open raising is far better than open limping tho.
