There was a landboarding jam on Dollymount today, so while others were freezing at Clontarf Rugby grounds, I was freezing on the beach. But I got a couple of photographs that I liked, or at least could do something with.

Both are really nice shots. I like the frame in the first one, even though I normally wouldn't.

The second would look good printed out big. Looks like a real 'going home' shot.

    Well done Calina?

    Good day?

    Thanks.

I'm tempted to print out the last one in large format, maybe A2 or A1. I'll see. I already have a few very large prints and no walls to hang them on. Still, we'll see.

Wasn't bad...but a bit dark for my liking and very bloody cold.

Yeah, I like the grain in the first one as it makes it look "dirty real" which suits the subject matter. I didnt notice the frame until it was pointed out, now I dont know if I like it or not (the frame that is). :)

The first one is deadly. I couldn't figure out the small guy for a minute. I thought he was in the foreground and that I was cracking up. Well I probably am but I figured it out eventually. Not mad about the frame either tho'.

Really nice Calina, not too gone on the frame though, but that's just an after thought, I didn't even look at it properly until the guys kept talking about it :P

    But yeah, class shots.

    Hi
The first shot is great, very good use of border and B&W. Not a fan of the 2nd though

Great shots, the first one is terrific, was it dollymount beach? Have you tried cloning out the figure in the backround? I think it make the picture evn better I feel its a distraction at the mo, the second is really nice

    Thanks folks,

yeah georgey, was Dollymount. I'm not a great fan of cloning out stuff for various purist reasons (he was in the photo so there) plus given the texture of the background I find it really tough to do a convincing job on cloning out significant figures. What's left behind generally just doesn't look right (translation - I'm not very good at it).

Interesting mix of views on the border though.
