Hi, I run a small consulting business but am finding myself increasing bogged down in admin work. I am looking at getting a software system that integrates invoicing, credit control, statements, CRM, etc... Can anyone recommend any decent packages? cheers

Quickbooks Pro (€350 ish) does most, if not all of above - not sure about Regular/Basic version(about €170) - one weekend with the phone off the hook should get you started.

Check here for a comparison between versions - http://www.axonware.ie/
I think they may provide trial CD if you're really interested.

If you have broadband you can download all versions in trial form (108MB)from http://www.quicken.com.au/Support/downloads.aspx (no catch - just time limited, but great to see if its what you want). The reports section is very customiseable - should do whatever one needs.

For those that just need idiot-proof basic ins&outs recordkeeping check out visual-account.co.uk - about €60, but you may grow out of it - but great to get you started out for the first year or two.

    Hope that help.....

Hmm... I ended up downloading the Free Version .. limit is only 20 customers / suppliers ..

Its not bad ... ideal for me just at the moment but in the long run I'll probably be looking for something else

Make sure that you can export the data to what ever programme you might uprade to.

Not cheap in the long run if you have to manually import all the data to the new system.
