Terry Dixon has signed a professional contract at the Club after turning 17 earlier this month.
The Academy prospect made a real impact in 11 appearances for our Under-18s as a schoolboy player last season.

Already a regular at Republic of Ireland youth level, his performances led to a call into the senior squad for a training camp last summer, aged just 16, followed by a place on the bench for the friendly international against Chile at Lansdowne Road in May.

He was named again in the senior squad for a friendly against Holland in August but, unfortunately, was laid low by a serious knee injury that required surgery.

The Archway-born forward is progressing well from that injury and received a further boost recently by being nominated for the FAI International U17 Player of the Year Award, where he is up against Donal McDermott of Manchester City and Norwich City's Michael Spillane, the outcome of which will be determined on Sunday, February 4th at the Citywest Hotel, Saggart.

Great things expected of this kid, which is why its such a disappointment that he's out with injury at the moment. Here's hoping his recovery continues.

Hopefully he gets clear of any injury problems as from what Staunton was saying in the summer he sounds very promising.
