Ok so I am on OSX 10.4.8 and running Photoshop CS (8) and heres the problem:

When I double click on a file of drag it onto the PS icon in the dock it opens PS but doesnt open the file.

To open any files I have to go into PS and go File Open.

    Anyone know why this is?

    Cheers

    Mark

    Hmm, strange.
Select "Repair Disk Permissions" in Disk Utility and try again.

OT: Do us a favour and unban me from Para, will ya? I didn't bother PMing you after the week and that was probably nearly a year ago.

I tried repairing the disk permission but it did no good.

OT: I'm not actually a mod nor have I ever been but if I was you'd be unbanned ;)

This problem usualy happens when you copied the photoshop-folder from a different disk instead of using the install-disk (or images).

The preferences stored in your Library-folder are a bit corrupt.

Easy to fix, just re-install photoshop from disk or image.

OT: Hmm, not quite sure where I got that impression. Oops!

    I've seen this problem myself.

The solution was to re-install Photoshop.
