Gas Range

Was thinking of buying my appliances for new build on-line e.g http://www.tradingpost-appliances.co.uk. Would I be able to use the gas appliances here e.g. gas range/cooker (using bottled gas)? This is probably a stupid question.. is a chimney needed for a gas range?

Is it possible to get a range delivered here from England ??
The suppliers here normally connect them ,because they are so combersome to deliver.

Do a search people have bought appliances off trading post. Make sure you get the european/ Ireland rated cooker. We have stricter safety mechanisms on our cookers than in UK. Seemingly sensors on cooker so that if gas is turned on without being ignited it will shut off straight away.

    Yes

No, but as with any hob/cooker you will need a piped extract fan to take the steam/smoke out of the kitchen.

I'd recommend a gas hob and an electric oven option to you if it's available to you. An electric oven is far easier to regulate, and a gas hob is the way to go for instant and high temperatures - this is the route a professional kitchen would take :)

I didn't mean any appliance ,i meant the range. Some ranges are in excess of 140 kilos. And they're very wide aswell.
Didn't think it would be visable to get something with that bulk delivered from england.

For the OP. Specify LPG when you order and also ask them to supply you with NAT GAS jets. This way if you ever want natural gas all you have to do is switch over the jets ,also handy if you want to sell the cooker.
