OK i have NTL broadband for my desktop but have just bought a dell laptop.
What do i do and what do i need to have a wireless connection for the laptop.

Is it a wireless card for laptop and router upstairs? I'm looking for the best/cheapest option. Cheers.

P.s. i have seen the thread on bargain alerts for the netopia one but not up to speed on it.

    Thanks in advance

when u bought the laptop u shpuld have got it with the wireless card installed, if it has none then u need a card for the laptop, then u need a wireless router for pc,

that netopia gets rave reviews and it is dirt cheap, seerach out the posts,

It depends what you intend to connect to your router. If you have a Nintendo DS then it can be picky about routers and Nintendo have a list on their NintendoWiFiConnection website of recommended routers.

However if you just want to connect your laptop then most routers will do the job fine.
