DVD Burning Question

    Just lookin for a some software (free) that will let me convert .avi files into a format that will play on a dvd player when burned to a dvd. I have sonic stage for burning and it doesnt seem to be able to do this. Any suggestions? Can Nero do this?

    Nero is able to do it, otherwise try download a prog called dvdsanta
