Travel Tax Incentives

    I’ve just got a new Job, starting in Feb..

    They’ve great benefits but one is Travel Tax Incentives, what does this mean?

    I think it means you'll get bus, rail or dart pass.

    I wouldn't be sure of that from what the OP said, the tax incentives are as follows
    The employees enjoy benefits of between 26-48% in Tax Free travel while the company receive PRSI savings of up to 10.75%.The majority of Annual Tickets are based on a ten month price so the individual not only receives a saving on their tax bill but they get two months free travel.

    It's not a freet ticket and I wouldn't class it as an emplyment incentive or benefit as it's available to all PAYE workers who's company register.

    I think tax incentive means that the OP will get a BIK free travel pass. I would its a employment benefits/incentives as employees will only get the tax savings if they are bought by employer. Its available to all PAYE workers but its really up to the employer to provide it or not.
