    Hi,

i have a Core2Duo 2.33 MBP. My problem is with using Toast to burn DVD's. I thought the MBP supported DVD+/-R and also DVD+R Dual Layer.

The trouble is toast only registers DVD-R. The drive is listed as Mat****a DVD-R Uj-857D in both toast and in "about this mac". However in my hardware list it does say under disc burning that its DVD write capability is -R, -RW, +R, +RW, +R DL.

Does anyone know if there is a setting or a driver update that can make this compatible. Sorry if this is something every Mac user automaticaly knows but its annoying me know.

My brothers Powerbook G4 has + and - R with no problems in toast.

    cheers

Apple wouldn't release a driver that didn't work out-the-box (usually) - could it be a software problem?
    Try YuBurner maybe...

(also, why is Matsu****a always censored? :p )
