I'm stuck housesitting from today till tuesday down in the middle of nowhere...my only responsibility being to feed the pets.

Thus I have decided to get as much zelda in as possible.

tonight -I will finish Windwaker...I am currently collecting tri-force pieces so not too far to go.

Tomarrow-saturday -I will play and complete Twilight Princess.

    Sunday-Tuesday -Ocarina of Time. *whoot*

If I get ahead of scheduale...A link to the Past shall be added to the list (if it gets released on VC even better!)

Damn, that sounds awesome. That tri-force quest is a little annoying but it's worth it when its over.

I'm going to have a similar time once my last exam (tomorrow) is over; finish Twilight Princess again, play Resident Evil 4 once more and then catch up on some Virtual Console goodness on the run up to my birthday... but for now, exams.

    Also, *an epic week

I started playing through it again too using the weapons from the last time i completed it, great fun, but how the hell do you get enough money to buy the unlimited ammo weapons???

Buy a massive bag of pet feed, put it outside the back door, and put a big hole in it.

Right, that's that taken care of, down to work.

If i may, if you're not all Zelda'd out, and can get your hands on it, Majora's Mask is excellent too. It's quality Zelda, but different enough to feel fresh.

God Damn it, i'm jealous right now!

    Enjoy!

I might be mistaken, but i seem to remember just blasting my way through everything a few times to make the cash.

Then i just blasted through everything again.

Exactly. Make sure you pick up every bit of dropped money and every treasure available (IE - No stars left on the map) When there are alternate routes, you can do one, go back and take the second path. I just made sure there was nothing I didn't take and nothing left moving but the foliage... :D

Takes a good few play throughs to get both infinite ammo weapons:cool:
The Rocket launcher is a lot of fun, but akward to fight off a hoarde of enemies, and easy to kill yourself! The chicago typewriter is the way to go for insane "old gangster movie" style tommy-gun-with-infinite-bullets mowing down enemies, and just pelt through the game
    :D

    Lucky you

PS Does anyone know if there is any wii points in any gamestop?
They never have them in stock and I have a voucher to use
Need Street Fighter II: The World Warrior

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,561 ✭✭✭Rhyme

I hate the Chicago Typewriter, it really is a cheat weapon... nothing can stand up for more than a few seconds against it. You can even sit still and pound on
the two El Gigante's in the lava room and not break a sweat.

My favourite combo has to be the bolt action rifle (for reloading goodness), the Blacktail and the Riot Gun... snappy. I throw in the Red9, Broken Butterfly and the unguided mine launcher to mix things up when i feel it.

On your second play-through it's really easy to rack up cash as you're not upgrading weapons.

Give them a call in the morning, i always seem to miss out on the points in GameStop ("Oh sorry, that man just bought the last one") and as such i only have Mario 64 to my name.

I'm up to that puppet ganon thing so far...I have no idea what the feck I am meant to be doing...it tells me to shoot its mouth and it does nothing no matter what I use.

    Boo Yah

Windwaker is now complete onto Twilight Princess (and its thursday like I said I would so ONWARD!)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,561 ✭✭✭Rhyme

On Puppet Ganon, use the boomerang to cut each string... your ultimate target is always the glowing ball on the end of his tail.

    Cheers

figured it out when I went back after some meat...

Going through Twilight Princess since then (only slept 4 hours) absolutely loving it.

Midna is the single greatest character I have ever come across in any rpg/adventure game.

Damn, what i wouldn't give to play Twilight Princess for the first time again... it's gotten to a point where i can almost talk at length about any facet of the game :(

I haven't touched my Wii in a week, VC goodness tomorrow perhaps.

you seem to misunderstand...I'm not rushing through...I'm actually being the pinnacle of nerdiness and dedicating a large part of my time each day to Twilight Princess.

This is due to as I said, House-sitting a house in the middle of f*cking nowhere...add in all my work is on my pc in my apartment in dublin and there is pretty much nothing else to do here...it is better to get twilight princess etc out of the way now rather then have it interfere on a nightly basis (as Windwaker did *gumble*) when I should be sleeping/working.

I'm nowhere near gerudo desert I think, I've just picked up the final piece of the mysterious shadow object and have seen without a doubt one of the coolest cutscenes....ever.

Zant better be an ultimate badass boss (though I assume you know who shows up at the end.)

Hah, that sounds like what I was planning, but I was going for Resi Evil instead of Zelda. Was going to (re)play through as many of them (I have all of them pretty much) as I can in a weekend >.<

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

I must give that a go with Resi too :D
    I've got RE0, RE-Remake, RE 2 (on the N64), RE4

As regards Zelda, the only ones I DON'T have (excluding the ones NOT on Nintendo systems... -_-) are LTTP and The Oracle of... ones. Oh and the 4swords ones, but they're a bit different anyway...

Have LOZ, LA, OOT and MM on the collectors disc, along with OOT and OOT: Master Quest on the disc that came with Wind Waker. Have Wind Waker (Obviously) and Twilight Princess. Have Links Awakening DX, and Minish Cap too.

God, yeah, weekend of Resi sounds like a great idea. The only proper one i don't have is Zero. I keep meaning to get it (it'll have to be off the internet now, i guess). Got Resi 2 on cube 2nd hand in GAME a while ago, saving it for a rainy day.

I started the REmake on Paddy's day at around lunch time this year...took bloody ages to finish it. It's mad, by midnight i was real nervy walking round the house. Mmm...Resi atmosphere....

Damn, i've been hunting for that on the Gamecube for almost a year now... copies appear on eBay.ie from time to time but the bidding usually goes outside of how much i'd pay for a Playstation game.

    Best cutscene EVAR!!! ;):D

dunno the earlier one in lake hylia is pretty f*cking awesome...

I just did the sword fight in the temple of time...f*cking A! I hope you get to fight more people like that.

    And I am Spent...

    Twilight Princess is finished...

Well there is still more to do...but the main plotline is done...will come back to the cave of ordeals etc. Just dont have the will to keep at em without a narrative award.

Overall I enjoyed it more then Windwaker because it kept my interest more. Windwaker was amazing...but I found myself pushing through most of the dungeons (except the mirror shield one) trying to get the next juicy plot point and not enjoying the dungeons themselves.

I quite liked the TP dungeons for the most part the only one I felt rushed in was the last one, the others provided me with something to play with or challange at the exact moment when I felt angry at said dungeon, the twinclaw in the sky city saved me from turning the damn thing off and that funky hand thing in the twilight palace was pretty cool. (though I was really p*ssed when I missed the boss key and had to go look for it.)

but hyrule castle I legged it through didnt really think much of it as a final dungeon.

But the boss...muhahahahahahaaaa that was a pretty cool boss
the bit with ganon charging around was very cool. And the sword fight...it was more intense then the windwaker one but windwaker had a much cooler arena (the flooding tower) this one was ruined by those yellow glowy walls.

    on the ending...Goddamnit
I really really really liked imp midna so am sad to see her depart from the zelda franchise...Am I meant to feel pity for ganondorf in both this an windwaker?

Right Ocarina of time next and then onwards to link to the past and the minish cap.

    but sleep first.

I wanna play it all again now...
