I want the text in my table not to go down the page for ages because i have a nav bar at the bottom of it. Is it possible to have a scroll bar within and can i customise it.. or can this just be done with flash?

At the moment my site looks like

    /
    \ < -- menu

    | text | < scroll bar??

    \_____/ <-- nav bar

    I dont want this...

    /
    \

text

text
    \_____/

Place the table inside an IFRAME.

If you were using XHTML and CSS you would be able to put the table inside a DIV or SPAN element and set the CSS overflow property to scroll.

Mmm yeah, overflow: scroll; then overflow-x: hidden; if you want to kill the hideous horizontal scrollbar. ;)

I found a good example here..

    http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_iframe

but it doesnt tell me alot about utilising it..

Basically i have a fireworks menu on top of my page in the center (maybe 2/3rd's of the page long) i have the a nav bar below the exact width and in between the 2 i have a table with the content also the same width ...It all blends in together quite smoothly... can i do this with an iFrame?

With the iFrame i will have to point it to another URL outside of the page ya? So will there be a problem building that page to the same dimensions as it's gonna get squahed aswell? If u get what i'm saying.. anyone!?
