250 stars for registering the Wii?

    Emailed Nintendo after I registered my Wii, and saw that some people got 500 star points for it and some got 250 points, and got this email today...

    500 stars is miserable for a €249 console! 4 and a half years ago I got 1000 stars for registering my gamecube, bought brand new for €108.

    I know, t'was a savage deal!! :D
    Argos UK were doing a special deal on the cube for £79.99 with a game because I reckon it wasn't selling too well compared to the other 2 consoles. So I took a spin over to Enniskillen and purchased! Got it for that price with Eternal Darkness. (A choice of 1 of 4 games). Paid by credit card and it was something like €107.50 or something on the statement with the exchange rate at the time.


    Actually, now that I'm thinking about it I'm wrong with 4.5 years, it was in early 2003, around March, so it'll be 4 years ago in 2 months time!! Sorry!

    I didn't think Argos had dropped it that soon, I thought it was more like late summer 03 or there abouts! :eek: I paid full whack for my cube, can't remember exactly when, but it was late-ish in 02 after the REsi remake was released (I'd held off waiting for it)
