Who would like to see Herring in the UFC?* He's a good fighter with lots of charisma; that's just what the heavyweight division needs right now. After seeing this video clip of him… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_P4Yr3ArEg
I’m really happy he has finally gotten a fight. He would definitely spice things up in the UFC!

Heath is very overrated. He comes to fight, so expect his fights to be exciting, but he won't clean up the UFC HW division.

When heath comes in on form with pride rules he could beat nearly anyone. That said, UFC rules aren't so great for him and we haven't seen the "krazy" in him in a long time. I can't wait for him to leave GG and train somewhere that produces good fighters with good heads on their shoulders (i.e. not GG e.g Oveream/Heath)

    Peace

I am delighted to see Heath back.
Will he clean up the HW division? I would maybe have said yes before the UFC signed Cro Cop.
I think the UFC HW belt will be held by either Cro Cop or Vera for a while (as soon as one of them get them off that yeti Tim Sylvia.

i dont think vera will be in UFC for much longer, i heard that is contract talks broke down when he asked for a lot more money, heath should add some life to the division anyway, its really picking up and IMO it be be superd when sylvia is not champ anymore, he does not deserve it at all

Heath lost by TKO to CroCop . . .surprise, but in a smaller fight area (like the octagon) does CroCop get the chance to tee off like he did in that fight? Hmmm . . . I smell an awesome rematch coming. I hope Heath will do good against his fight against Irish. I'm a big fan of Herring, but O'Brien should be very difficult for him and I see him having problems with a few other guys. :)

but the octogon is a much larger area than the pride ring - the pride ring is 22ft while the ufc octogon has a diameter of 30ft (though it uded to be 32 feet)

i could have my maths completely wronh but doesnt that make the pride ring 484ft squared while the octogon is just under 750ft squared

As expected, he's overrated, tried to make the fight exciting but was positionally controlled. :)

Have to agree with the above post, that was a miserable performance by Heath Herring. He certainly has some knock-out power but O'Brien just frustrated him by continuosly taking him down.

And the ease with which O'Brien was able to get full mount every time they went to the ground was just shocking. It made Herring look like an amateur.

I think Heath crumbled under the pressure of having so much expectation on him. Not that Obrien didn't fight well. He is very good. But Heath has a lot more experience of high level competition and should have at least not been dominated so easily. Not a big Heath fan myself.
    For the Irish I guess:D

it was a terrible fight for herring - but in his defence he did say post fight that he suffered a torn mcl bout 3 weeks ago - if this turns out to be the case it would explain his performace - lets not forget that herring has been in much much bigger fights than an UFN undercard fight - he has proven himself as a quality fighter and someone who can handle the pressure (title fight against nog anyone?) - yes, its been a while since we have seen him mix it up in the big leagues and the fight game may have passes him - we dont know yet but yo say he choked under the presure - i dont buy that myself
