Hi all,

I've been scouring the internet trying to get information on this but what Ive found is really vague so thought Id give it a shot posting it here.

My Girlfriend and I are going to Spain for 10 days in the summer and staying in a hotel just down from Alicante, I planned on renting a car when we got there and going on a bit of a roadtrip for a few of the the days (or 1 at least) . So I was wondering does anyone here have any experience in doing it and where would be good places to go visit-I want to stay away from the major cities if possible and just pass through/visit some nice rural towns...Im not expecting anyone to be able to name places off but can anyone maybe give me an insight into whether its safe or not or even worth while for that matter??
