Does anyone know the two software patchs for AMD opterons ? One is the dual core optimizer, and there is another but cant think of it. Cheers.

There isn't as far as I know with only two items for AMD CPU's.

Item 1: CPU driver enables Cool & Quiet.

Item 2: Dual Core Optimization Patch - is actually a fix for WinXP 32-bit that corrects a timing problem with dual core CPU's, the primary issue was a stuttering effect or compatibility issues in games without the fix installed. XP 64-bit, Win 2003 Server and Vista 32/64-bit do not need the fix.

Item 2 was actually released as a hotfix by Microsoft prior to AMD releasing it as Microsoft's fix was awkward to install, AMD basically put together a better installer for the same patch.
