its coming of the wire services, a vet is to appear in court in the u.s. for injecting horses with vodka before races 4 charges i believe. to calm them it seems, yup i can see the jokes coming fast and thick.

all you have to do to get any story nowadays is search on google news for eg. horse vet vodka! its all over the news in the states! all i want to know is the results of the horses injected!

The use of vodka to calm a hot horse is fairly old practice on the backside of US tracks. Tiznow apparently used to get shots before training to settle him down, there was a fair bit of press about it in the run up to his 2nd BC Classic win.
