How much is camera worth?

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone could recommend how much my camera is worth. Its a great camera but low on megapixels if I want to print posters.

Olympus, Camedia C730 Ultra zoom
3.2 megapixels, 10X Optical
64MB CARD

In box, perfect condition.

the cash you'd get for it would probably be worth less than the use you'd get out of it - the design is four and a half years old, so you wouldn't find a buyer easily who'd be willing to pay good money.

Im not trying to be insulting, but someone would probably give you the guts of 100 euro for it.

I'd say you could probably get around 300-400 for it. It sounds well worth it. 3.2 Mega Pixels are plently and with a 64MB card you would be laughing. I'd say advertise it for 400, maybe 450 and you might get 350 for it.

I'd agree with bp_me and magic...

However, if you get a stupid buyer (maybe someone that's buying their first digital camera) you may be able to get 300 for it from someone with more money than sense. But that'd be morally wrong, scamming someone like that. Couldn't condone those kind of shenanigans.

Think of it this way, you could get a decent 5/6mp camera with a good brand for about €250 last year...

Did a quick search on Ebay Europe-wide and recently they have gone for 100-120E. The 64Meg card is worth nothing (next to)

Ta for response. I must admit I didn't think its sale price would be very good. I think as magicbastarder suggested, its worth more for me to hold onto to it as a spare and just buy a higher spec camera for taking larger prints.

Sorry, i thought the sarcasm would be evident, I suppose you never can tell in text form. It is friday after all. To be honest, i'd reccommend giving it away to a young relation or someone who may have an interest in it if its not going to be used. If someone is going to pay you for it they may as well buy a new better quality version. Do some good, give it to someone who will appreciate it.

I mustnt be the only one , You were the one who believed me when i said it was well worth 300-400...I think you need some stricter moderation...In all honesty i should of been banned if I wasnt being sarcastic...or probably banned for being sarcastic...either way all the smoking should stop, on all sides..
