    do woodies or home base sell sheets of MDF/Plywood, its not on their websites whether they do or not. i am looking for a few 8x4s in or around the Rathfarnam area.

    yes they do but it might depend on the store, so would be worth calling them first

    In some of the stores as well they will cut the plywood to whatever length you want , so it may help if you have exact measurements as well. Obviously you still have to buy the whole sheet but it can be handy to get it cut before hand.

    B&Q in Tallaght definitely do so it might be worthwhile just going there as its nearby.
    They will also cut it for free and have a good selection of thicknesses.

    Save your money and go to either Brooks in Sandyford or Chadwicks also in Sandyford or the Greenhills Rd.Woodies and B&Q are pure rip off merchants.

    Merchant Meade in Taylors Lane, although they used to be fierce daor.

    Woodies on the long mile road definitely sell Plywood, not sure about MDF. There's a little Hardware shop on Harolds Cross Road that's much cheaper though... and they deliver if you're in the area.
