Like no.2 loads, looks like you weren't blessed with the weather. Any chance you could resize so they fit onscreen? Be easier to see them that way.

2 & 4 are my favorites. I found it so bloody hard to get a halfway original looking shot when I was up there last year. Came away with a half decent photo of the mountains (like your #2 shot). Must get back up there sometime off season and have another go. Pity they couldn't have put the car park closer to the causeway :D

i would have said 2 is the weakest shot.
    5 is the best.

In the interest of sparking discussion and whatnot...

What makes you say that 2 is the weakest shot?

it just looks too 'ordinary' - it doesn't grab me. there's no focal point, and your eye is not led around the frame. in short, it's just a photo of some cliffs.

4 and 5 lead your eye around the frame, they're interesting to look at. plus, and i know it's very much a secondary trait, they look like there was effort put into taking them.

btw, if you're up at the causeway, it's well worth heading a few miles west to the strand at portballintrae, a lovely beach.

1 & 4 (gives a great scope on the look of things) work for me, nice stuff.

Slightly off topic, does anybody know the best time of the year for sunsets/sunrises at the causeway, and which one tends to work best? I could probably make the effort and work it out if I wasn't being lazy.

the causeway is not great for sunsets, if i remember correctly - the cliffs around it shade it long before the sun is down. don't know about sunrises, but i can't think of any shots i've seen with the sun rising in them.

I like the shot of the Robin, the others are ok. Maybe bring a tripod and do some long exposures next time. Looks like a nice camera though.

Thats funny, I think that no.2 is the best and that the others, apart from the robin, look like snap shots. Try straighting the horizons in PS?

Looks like a good wave to shoot. Would make for a cool shot if somebody was on it. I like the way the cliffs draw you down along to where the wave is, but obviously I look at wave shots everyday so I look for those kind of things, guess what I'm trying to say is different strokes....

Lol Paudie I was waiting for you to comment on the second pic. Was in Easky on tuesday getting bowled out of it. OP 2 is my favorite interesting wave and cliff arrangement, but the horizon in no. 4 is off.

    To shoot or to surf?

Shoot if the light is good.

So I'll probably be surfing :P
I'm sure you'll see the results here anyway :)
