Hi, I was thinking of applying for this course. Could any of you on here that are doing this course on here tell me what its like and what to expect?

The course is very interesting. There is a good range of subjects and most of the lecturers are excellent. All very approachable and know their subject material well and can deliver it well also.

The amount of hours for lectures/tutorials each week may give the impression that it is an "easy" course, but don't let that fool you. There is a huge amount of extra work to be done for essays and presentations etc. but if you have an interest in the area that should be no problem to you.

I would suggest you contact Dr. Gary Murphy who is the course head and he should be able to answer any questions you have. He's a very nice man and you should find him very helpful.

    His email is gary.murphy[at]dcu.ie

I'm in second year now and I'm really enjoying it, the people in my class are all great, you'll get a good mix of students which makes for a great atmosphere etc.

Thanks for answering, its sounds like a real good course. My only worry is the fact that as its a newish course so theres no way of finding about employment after finishing it:o
